Postage and packing
All art print items are securely packaged and delivered by recorded delivery. I mainly use Royal Mail (Parcelforce), although this may vary depending on the order or destination. I cannot deliver to PO boxes or BFPO addresses. Prices quoted include the cost of packaging. Card products are delivered First Class Royal Mail.
UK postage and packing:
For all products prices include the cost of packaging and delivery
European & Worldwide Delivery
I can organise delivery to anywhere in the world, but unfortunately the cost of postage outside the UK will be higher. Please contact me for an individual quote and I will do my best to deliver to you wherever you are. Goods for delivery outside the UK may be subject to import duties, customs levies and other taxes outside my control. Any and all additional charges must be borne by you.
Delivery and signatures
Signatures are not always required for courier deliveries and parcels may be left in a safe place or with a neighbour. If this is not suitable, I recommend giving a work address for delivery if you are not home during the day. Unfortunately orders are not available for collection, although it may be possible for your order to be delivered to your local post office following a failed attempt to deliver to your address. You must organise this directly with the courier.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the delivery address is correct. If the address is incorrect or outdated, the parcel is usually returned to me. A further charge for redelivery will be levied if a returned parcel has to be re-sent due to an error on your behalf. The liability for items lost due to an incorrect address is yours; I cannot refund for the lost item and you will be charged for any replacement prints if this happens. Please double-check your delivery address!
In the unlikely event that an item goes missing in the post, I will do everything I can to trace it for you. Unfortunately I cannot accept liability for the actions of third parties, including the courier. I will do my best to get you a replacement as soon as possible but please note that due to the terms and conditions of the courier there may be a delay before being able to trace, replace or refund items lost in the post.
Production and delivery times
For non-personalised items I aim to deliver your order within 7 working days.
For personalised items when I confirm your order I will give you a guideline delivery date. I know that timing is important, particularly for gifts, and guideline delivery dates are given in good faith. However, because this is a piece of art, unfortunately they cannot be guaranteed. As a guide, I aim to deliver your personalised artwork within approximately 28 days, but given the individual nature of the process I will confirm this when you order. I will do my best to let you know if there is a delay for any reason.
If you have a specific deadline then please let me know. I’ll try my very best to meet this, but because each product is prepared to individual specifications, please remember that it’s not always possible for me to do so.
By placing an order you confirm that you are the owner of the copyright to any photographs provided, and/or have the full permission of the owner of the copyright. This includes duplication, manipulation, cropping and reprinting and you accept full and total legal responsibility for work of this nature to be carried out. By submitting photographs to be used in the creation of your dona B. print, you assign copyright of these images to me for this use only.
Copyright and intellectual property (IP) of the final artwork remains with dona B, including all its composite elements (text, photographic image, architectural drawing and background). This means you can only use it for personal use. And because it's personal to you, I won’t use your completed image in the future (eg on my website or for promotional material) unless I have got your permission to do so first.
Your details and data protection
I know that your privacy is very important to you. If you pay by Paypal I do not receive your financial details. For full terms and conditions in your use of Paypal, please see their website (www.paypal.com). If for any reason I do need to receive your payment, bank or credit card details, I will not retain them any longer than is necessary to confirm payment.
The original photographic image(s) you supply are deleted after your order has been successfully delivered to you and I won’t use them, share them or store them in any other way. I may however keep your contact details on file in case I need to contact you again in the future. I will not share your personal details with any third parties, and I will store any information you provide offline, as securely as I can reasonably manage. If you have any questions about what we do with your details, please get in touch.
I want you to be happy with your personalised print so please do contact me with any concerns.
Unfortunately, because each product is an individual piece of art, once the order is confirmed and payment is received I cannot accept returns or give refunds.
This policy does not affect your consumer legal rights where goods are faulty or mis-described.
Faulty or damaged goods
Every effort is made to make sure your goods arrive in perfect condition. Please check delivery contents as soon as possible after delivery. In the unlikely event of your goods being damaged in transit, please report problems promptly as a delay might jeopardise any claim.
If you believe your item is faulty or damaged, please email me detailing, in full, the damage or fault relating to your order. Please provide photographic evidence to support your claim; this will speed the process up, particularly if it involves a third party (eg the courier).
I am an artist; when you place an order with dona B. you are commissioning a piece of art.
Each drawing is hand-drawn and represents dona B.’s artistic interpretation of the building or location specified. Whether you request a proof or not, by confirming and paying for your order you accept that the goods provided will be a work of art, with all elements of the composition subject to the creation, interpretation, composition and rendering etc of the artist.
I cannot be held responsible for differences of artistic interpretation and all artistic decisions remain with me.
Each architectural drawing is hand-drawn by me following a study from photographs and/or sketches. However, I may re-use my hand-drawn images of popular locations for multiple customers (eg Bristol City Hall, Bristol Cathedral, Bristol Register Office etc). Your artwork is still unique: each finished artwork is individually created as an artistic composition, a personalised print using the hand-drawn image, customer-supplied photograph and text.
To give you an idea of what your print will look like, the option for a PDF proof is offered prior to printing. I will make every effort to ensure that the proof is a faithful representation of the artwork, but this proof is intended as a guide only to the composition, and to allow you to see that the choice of location, colour format (fully coloured, shaded or line drawing), supplied photograph and specified text are correct.
Unfortunately at this stage no changes can be made to the hand-drawn image of the building or location. Following the provision of a proof, minor changes only can be made to the composition of the complete image. You are commissioning a piece of art and you accept that final artistic decisions remain with me.
Print and photographic quality
Although strict controls are imposed, there are unavoidable fluctuations in operating conditions and the sensitivity of the colour emulsions, chemicals and light sources. In consequence it is impossible to guarantee colour matching. In addition, given variations in monitor fidelity (the way they appear on your computer screen), final colours may vary from the images shown on our website and on any proofs sent to you.
When placing an order you accept that this is an artistic process and variations of this type are unavoidable. They are part of what makes your print a work of art.
If I think the photograph you’ve provided is not clear enough, I’ll get in touch. However, I’m not liable for any loss of photographic quality resulting from the provision of a low-resolution digital photograph. Please have a look at the guidance provided on the website before you take photographs.
I’ve tried to make my terms and conditions as clear as possible, but if there is anything that isn’t clear please get in touch. These terms do not supersede your statutory rights under the Sale of Goods Acts.
