There are many big events in life, both sad and happy, that are linked with lovely memories that are worth commemorating.
Whether someone's retiring, there is a new baby being christened or named, a friend is celebrating a 90th or a 21st birthday or someone has passed away, why not mark the occasion with a hand-drawn architectural portrait of a meaningful building or landmark.
Personalised with a photograph and words of your choice, this will give you, your friends or your family something to bring back memories for years to come.
If you wish to use a non-digital image you can either scan the photograph in at a high resolution (600dpi) or post a copy to me and I will scan it for you and return the image with your order.
You then need to browse the Formats page to decide whether you would like a framed or unframed canvas or a framed or unframed print. If you choose a framed option think about what colour frame would be suitable for where the print will hang.
Also decide if you would like to add some personalised text to the print. On the Formats page you will see the font options for your text so think about what style you would like your text to be and also what you would like it to say.
Submit your order - When you are happy that you have everything that you need please complete and submit the order form on the Commission page. using the Other Gift Ideas box to detail the event you are commemorating. I will be in touch shortly afterwards.
Take or find a photograph of the venue you want drawn. This will need to be emailed to me after you submit your order. For Bristol public buildings I am producing studies from a range of sketches and photographs of my own which will make this step very simple. For any houses or for venues outside Bristol you will just need to email me your photographs after you submit your order.
You will also need a photo of the person or people featured in the event. If the event is in the future then ask someone that is going to take a range of photos that could be used as shown in the examples here. A 5 megapixel camera or bigger on full resolution should take a good enough image. You will need permission to use them so please ensure your photographer is happy with this.
If the event has already happened then ask any guests to send you photos they are happy for you to use. Try and ensure the size of the image is a big as possible and that I would be able to cut around you without losing anything.

Three little steps before ordering...
If you would like to give a wedding venue print as a gift but would rather the recipient made all the choices then why not order the voucher option? It’s an easy way to give something very special to a friend or family member. I will explain to them what photographs they need to take and what the process is when they redeem the voucher. What a lovely surprise!
